Special for Degussa GmbH Bohncke
designed a precious metal recovery system.
In the beginning build as a two column ion exchange system
it soon was completed with an electrolyses cell.
Two containers for the ion exchange resin (4 or 8 l) where
the liquid flow from the top to the bottom are placed on a
box which contains a pump, pipes, valves and the hand-priming-pump.
A flow meter was placed in serial with a indication column
between the containers. The valves and the flow-meter allow
an exact adjustment of the flow. As soon as the first column
is saturated the resins in the indicator column will change
its color. It has to be changed.
The column are variations of the filter chambers type AF.
The columns can also be filled with active carbon as well
as other granulates. The can also be replaced by filter cartridges
as well as plates and paper filter. In this way a universal
system for a several different purposes is placed at disposal.
